Chess Nuts offers chess and science classes every Tuesday for K-5 students (1:35-2:35 pm/chess, 2:35-3:35 pm/science).

The Spring session starts on April 9 and runs until May 28, 2024.

Class description:

​

CHESS: Each child will receive a magnetic chess set, weekly chess lessons, and a chess medal for participating. The title of this session is "Amazing Blunders." In it, we will study and learn from some of the most surprising mistakes in chess history. All levels are welcome!

​

SCIENCE: During the science portion of the class, students will undertake science projects that they will often put together themselves. A detailed lecture will precede each project so that the students understand the scientific principles involved in each activity. Students will also receive worksheets and will have the opportunity to earn a science medal as well.
